MEET Laura
Hi there! I’m Laura. I know the power of self-awareness because it changed my life, my family relationships, and the way I work. It’s why I’m so passionate about helping others amplify their self-awareness to discover their talents, connect to their passion, and align with their purpose. My journey began almost thirty years ago in the world of choral music education, where I helped individuals discover their unique voices and recognize the value of each person's contribution to enrich the team. Now, I apply these same principles to the corporate world.
For me, it’s all about discovering the hidden gold within each person. I see this as a process of mining for treasure--every individual has incredible potential buried beneath the surface, and sometimes, it just needs to be uncovered and refined. The process is about breaking free from the things holding you back and discovering what’s truly valuable inside. Once that gold is refined through self-awareness, it can be combined with the strengths of others to create something even stronger.
This process aligns closely with my Be, Do, Lead framework. Just like gold, we as individuals need to be refined and purified, and then combined with the strengths of others to create something greater. When we’re aligned with our purpose and values, we can Be more of who we’re meant to be, Do more with intention, and Lead in a way that creates beauty and impact in the world. This is at the heart of the work I do, and it’s what drives me to help you become a Champion Builder.
My Personal
CHAMPION BUILDER Story
Throughout my life, I’ve been blessed with several Champion Builders who recognized my potential before I saw it in myself. My first champion was my mom. She always believed I could accomplish anything, even when I doubted myself. She pushed me to step outside my comfort zone and do things I never thought I could. Her unwavering belief in me gave me the confidence to chase my dreams and continually grow. She was the first person to start building me into a confident person of purpose.
Later, a college professor saw my potential and poured into me, going beyond the classroom to mentor me. He offered high support through encouragement, resources, and time, while also challenging me with stretch goals, opportunities, and accountability. His belief in me helped me become my best self and profoundly impacted my ability to realize my dreams.
It’s because of these Champion Builders that I’m so passionate about helping others. I’ve witnessed firsthand the transformational power of self-awareness. But the real magic happens when we combine that self-awareness with the strengths of others. When we as leaders begin to champion those around us, we create teams that thrive, relationships that flourish, and lives that are aligned with purpose.
